What’s Your Big Idea? Try It In Willesden!

In January 2012, New Windows secured a ‘meanwhile’ lease on 1-12 Queens Parade, Willesden Lane – an eight-unit building previously home to a textile business which has been empty for five months and has not been in retail use for years.

The project invited businesses, projects and individuals to submit their expressions of interest in occupying one of these units for an initial three-month period. Having attending a series of bespoke development workshops, interested parties were asked to submit a proposal and after a rigorous selection process, thirteen businesses and projects were chosen and began moving into the space at the beginning of March 2012. As Queens Parade extends it’s lease for another 3 months we are proud to say that eight original businesses remain:

Unit 1:  Passiflora Herbal Health
Unit 2:  Jardins D’EDEN
Unit 3:  Paint Mine
Unit 4:  Vintage Green
Unit 5:  Stylist’s Wardrobe
Unit 6 & 7:  The Unlimited Print Shop
Unit 8:  Urban Woot

In addition, Queens Parade offers a programme of activities, workshops and events – so keep your eye on this website or pop in to Queens Parade for further details.

Designer Kieren Jones was commissioned to re-design the building’s facade, and Painting & Decorating students from the local College of North West London helped to refurbish the building’s interior.
