What’s Your Big Idea? Try It In Willesden!

In January of this year, New Windows secured a ‘meanwhile’ lease on 1-12 Queens Parade, Willesden Lane – an eight-unit building previously home to a textile business which has been empty for five months and has not been in retail use for years.

The project invited businesses, projects and individuals to submit their expressions of interest in occupying one of these units for an initial three-month period. Having attending a series of bespoke development workshops, interested parties were asked to submit a proposal and after a rigorous selection process, the following thirteen businesses and projects were chosen and began moving into the space at the beginning of March:

Unit 1:  Art Lobby
Unit 2:  Jardins D’EDEN
Unit 3:  Roses & String
Unit 4:  Vintage Green and Paint Mine
Unit 5:  My Pop Up Design Shop
Unit 6:  The Unlimited Print Shop
Unit 7:  Indikidual and Ariane Prin (‘From Here For Here’)
Unit 8:  The Wise Owl Venue and Punch & Juicy

In addition, during the Easter holidays and in the coming months, Queens Parade will offering a programme of activities, workshops and events – so keep your eye on this website or pop in to Queens Parade for further details.

Designer Kieren Jones has been commissioned to re-design the building’s facade, and Painting & Decorating students from the local College of North West London helped to refurbish the building’s interior.
