Ana Minguez & Santiago Ortega
Ana Minguez and Santiago Ortega are two London based designers who recently graduated from the Royal College of Art.
Ana is a Spanish visual designer, with a background in Product Design. After graduating from the Communication Art & Design Master at the RCA, her work has become highly narrative, and reflects about everyday issues such as the perception of time, human communication and found beauty. Her love for objects and a further more visual education have allowed her to use very different media to narrate stories, from writing, object making and drawing to moving image and sound interaction.
Santiago is an Ecuadorian designer with a background in Design and Engineering. His work as a designer often takes into account creating
new experiences around perception, communication and interaction. This is achieved by introducing elements of surprise and playfulness
into the interactions. Most recently, some installations also present a mix of physicality and digital technology through the use of interactive
software.
Ana and Santiago met during their Masters degree at the Royal College of Art and Imperial College in London. Their shared interests and previous experience converged into a collaborative project redesigning the cabin of an Airbus aircraft for 2030. This not only involved the interior aesthetics but also entailed the design of a new flying experience.
