Vacant Shop Programme – Queens Parade’s new tenants soon to be announced!
We had a fantastic response to our open call inviting people to express an interest in occupying a selection of empty shop premises along the High Road. Our Proposal Development workshops were lively and full and we received lots of high calibre ideas from start up businesses and projects wanting to occupy one of the shop units that have become available to the project in Queens Parade.
The most suitable proposals came in to present their ideas to us this week and we’ll soon be announcing the selection of new tenants due to move into the building on March 5th! They will only be in the building for three months initially, so will have to get moving quickly to let everyone know what they’re doing or selling and what activities will be available for the local community within the building. Watch this space for more details!
Also, the Pilot Shop is no longer ours. We’re happy to say that the work the project did to reactivate the formerly empty shop has made it a more attractive proposition and a commercial tenant has come forward to take on the lease. It will be open for business some time in March.
